The cloudburst unleashed its wrath on an under-construction hotel site, causing severe damage and leaving nine workers missing. Search and rescue operations are underway, with teams from the NDRF, SDRF, and local police working tirelessly to locate the missing individuals.
Pilgrims Halted at Key Transit Points
As a precautionary measure, pilgrims have been halted at several key transit points, including Haridwar, Rishikesh, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Sonprayag, and Vikasnagar. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in several districts, prompting authorities to closely monitor the situation and prioritize the safety of all individuals in affected areas.
